IDIPPA — the International Digital Product Passport Alliance — began operating as an international association of DPP service providers in the final months of 2025, growing out of a community cooperation movement. Its aim is to bring DPP service providers together in a corporate network on the global arena.
As a collaborative hub for digital product passport service providers, the alliance works to achieve the following:
IDIPPA's 2030 Vision is to encourage DPP service providers to operate a circular, responsible and fair product value chain, ensuring compliance with DPP standards and EU legislation. The alliance focuses on bringing together the service providers and operators of DPPs — critically important for combating climate change — as digital product passports become a registered reality for industrial products, battery and cell manufacturing under accepted standards.
IDIPPA members commit to a set of Guiding Principles — the necessary conditions for establishing, maintaining and providing sustainable DPP services across the value chain.
All DPP providers who meet IDIPPA member requirements and the applicable authorization and registration regulations can apply. The application process takes about one month from receipt to final decision.
